Monument to a Smile

French Artist Puts New Yorker's Faces on the Wall of Rockefeller Center

Monument to Smile is a large-scale projection of over 250 photographs of smiling New Yorkers. This evening, it will light up the façade of 30 Rockefeller Plaza into a cascading mosaic of smiling portraits. Richard Hake spoke with Agnes Winter, the French photographer who created the project.
