Gods, Myths and Mortals: Discover Ancient Greece (Children's Museum of Manhattan)

Superhuman heroes, death-defying adventures and technological wizardry. It’s not the latest Disney movie – it’s the story of ancient Greece, as depicted in a new, hi-tech exhibition at the Children’s Museum on Manhattan. The exhibit opens today it includes everything from a 13 foot Trojan Horse climbing sculpture, to the Antikythera Mechanism, an ancient machine that calculated the movement of the planets…that many archeologists think of as the world’s first computer.
Soterios Johnson had a chance to walk through the exhibit where he met with Andrew Ackerman, the Museum's Executive Director, with some of the kids the exhibit hopes to woo, with some characters from Ancient Greek history. The exhibition Gods, Myths and Mortals: Discover Ancient Greece is open now at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan.
