WNYC AM and FM is altering its schedule on September 11th to carry live coverage
of the 9/11 Anniversary Ceremony in the morning. The ceremony will be re-broadcast
at 8:00PM on AM 820.
On AM 820
5:00am -- Morning Edition, hosted by Soterios Johnson.
8:30am -- A live broadcast of the 9/11 Anniversary Ceremony at Ground
Zero.
noon -- The Leonard Lopate Show
8:00pm -- Rebroadcast of the 9/11 Anniversary Ceremony at Ground Zero.

5:00am -- Morning Edition, hosted by Soterios Johnson.

On 9/11, Soundcheck welcomes composer/singer/filmmaker Meredith Monk, whose
thoughtful works on love, memory and history will be the focus of a retrospective
this weekend at Carnegie Halls new performance space, Zankel Hall.

On September 11th Evening Music will present four hours of thoughtful, beautiful
music, music of solace and inspiration. Familiar works will include Silent
Woods by Dvorak, the Meditation from Thais by Massenet, Variations
on a Theme by Tchaikovsky by Anton Arensky, both a sonata and a Cantata
by J.S. Bach, and Gustav Mahlers orchestration of Franz Schuberts
Death and the Maiden Quartet, and a short piece for orchestra by
New York-born composer Bernard Herrmann called For the Fallen.
New Sounds
11PM on 93.9 FM
Laurie Anderson's Live in New York was recorded just days after
September 11, 2001 at Town Hall. On this episode of New Sounds, well hear
selections from this monumental endeavor, including "O Superman."
