I'm not sure this chart accounts for those where the question is "not applicable."
I.e., for monks, nuns, priests, ascetics, and other monastics. Or, for that matter, lay persons who likewise take a vow of celibacy for personal reasons (religious or otherwise). This may include many widows and widowers who do not think of themselves as "single" per se.
That group is (in addition to singles or those in very damaging relationships) yet another set of people left out of this commercial holiday.
The same can be said for any holiday, of course, as they are meant for a small set of believers/ practitioners yet are applied broadly in society, culture, and commerce.
