For Special Ed students in New York City, the drop out rate is higher than the graduation rate, based on a 5 year tracking study

Special Ed kids Statewide are more likely to earn academic diplomas than Special Ed kids in NYC. IEPs are Individualized Education Program diplomas which are not the same as academic (Regents and Local) diplomas and are not accepted by most colleges and the military.
