Crashing Downtown's Definitive Bash
Tuesday, December 01, 2009
That's right, folks: our December outing will also mark our one-year anniversary (nothing like the paper anniversary for an online club...).
Remember our raucous and humble beginnings? Remember when the Zipper Factory was still in business?
This year, Murray's Little Christmas is happening at the Abrons Arts Center. If any of you go, please report back.
But, for our official December outing, it seems to me we should throw ourselves a party. Or, at the very least, crash somebody else's. Tuesday, December 15, 9 p.m. till late, the Mehanata Bulgarian Bar on Ludlow will be overtaken by "downtown's definitive bash," PS 122's holiday party. Tickets are $10, and can be purchased here. Or you can use your PS122 Passport and get in at 8 p.m.
There will be party favors. There will be DJs, exclusive cabaret performances and, no doubt, excessive drinking. The vibe, I am told by a P.S. 122 insider, "is very downtown bacchanal – a wild let-your-hair-down romp with season artists, performance-lovers, supporters, friends with benefits & passport holders, board, staff etc etc." Also:
"DRESS: Anything goes. Note: Drinking helmets and dancing shoes highly recommended."
What say ye, are you in or are you out? I'm making a list. And, you know, yadda yadda yadda, I'm checking it twice...

Can't wait to see you all tonight! I hear hostages will be taken at some point ...
i have the Shakespeare Forum from 8 - 10. But if Vallejo didn't get home for days, i certainly expect the party to be hopping by the time i can make it (around 11 or so). Looking forward to seein' ya then.
Thanks for adding me to the list. Won't be able to attend this event, but looking forward to future ones.
Oops! Vallejo... Do we need to know that?
Thanks for sharing though! :)
I am going. For sure.
Last time I left this party i didn't get home for days
Why oh why a Tuesday night? I guess no one works during the day.. nag.. nag. I will go at 9:00PM for a bit.
