Journalists Blocked From Voters at NJ Polls on Election Day

A federal judge in New Jersey is blocking a group of more than 100 newspapers from getting access to voters as they leave polling places on Election Day.
U.S. District Judge Joel Pisano said the case was about "keeping polling places and the citizens who vote there undisturbed."
The suit, filed by the New Jersey Press Association, challenged a state law that prohibits journalists from coming within 100 feet of a polling place.
The plaintiffs argued that the restriction infringed on the newspapers' First Amendment rights and hampered their ability to report on the election.

Ha! I worked as a journalist in Vietnam a decade ago, in Hanoi, the very seat of Communist propaganda and authority -- and remember freely interacting with voters on election day.
Therefore, we can call Governor Chris Christie a lot of things -- but Communist isn't one of them!
