The 2009 season of Concerts from the Frick Collection opens with the early music masters, Ensemble Caprice, and continues throughout the summer with New York debut performances from some of the world's most esteemed interpreters. The elegant, intimate ambiance of the music room at the Frick Collection has delighted lovers of chamber music for decades. Since the 1940s, WNYC listeners have enjoyed performances of the highest caliber in broadcasts from the Frick Collection, and this tradition continues to flourish.

The inventive and eclectic Kuss Quartet plays Haydn's Quartet in D Major, Op. 64, No. 5, "The Lark"; Bartok's Quartet No. 2, Op. 17; and Schubert's Quartet in A Minor, Op. 29, No 1, "Rosamunde."

The New York debut of Dutch mezzo-soprano Cora Burggraaf. Accompanied by Jonathan Kelly on piano, she performs selections by Bizet, Berlioz, Chausson, Mendelssohn, Schumann and Kurt Weill.

The international wind ensemble Ma'a lot Quintet perform Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream and pieces by Paul Hindemith and Astor Piazzola.

The New York debut of the Russian Atrium Quartet playing Mendelssohn's Quartet in F Minor, Op. 80; Shostakovich's Quartet in B-Flat, No. 5, Op. 92; and Borodin's Quartet in D Major, No. 2.

The New York debut of string instrumentalist Julian Rachlin, playing violin and viola and accompanied by Itamar Golan on piano. They play Shostakovich's Viola Sonata, Op. 147; Grieg's Violin Sonata, No. 3 in C Minor, Op. 45 and pieces by Benjamin Britten and Antonin Dvorak.

Celebrated American pianist Byron Schenkman plays Haydn's Sonatas H. XVI: 35 and 52; Mendelssohn's Rondo Capriccioso in E Major, Opus 14 and Fantasy in F-sharp Minor, Opus 38.

The New York debut of the Geringas Baryton Trio play works by Tomasini, Rossini, Paganini and Haydn for the rare instrument - the seven-stringed baryton.
