A Wisconsin circuit judge has issued a temporary restraining order that bars the publication a new law that effectively ends collective bargaining for state workers, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting.  

Judge Maryann Sumi's ruling, which came after Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne filed an appeal on the grounds that "a legislative committee violated the state's open meetings law in passing the measure," according to the Journal Sentinel. This ruling prevents implementation of the bill, which Gov. Scott Walker signed into law last week.
