Oregon Democratic Resigns Following Accusations of Unwanted Sex with Teen

Democratic Congressman David Wu of Oregon will resign immediately following the debt ceiling debate, the Oregonian is reporting.
The resignation comes after two other Democratic lawmakers, Senators Ron Wyden and Senator Jeff Merkley, both of Oregon, called on the Representative to resign, and Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi called for an ethics investigation into allegations that Wu had an unwanted sexual encounter with a teenager last November.
From the Oregonian:
The Democrat said in a statement that he would leave office after Congress resolves the debt ceiling crisis.
"With great sadness, I therefore intend to resign effective upon the resolution of the debt ceiling crisis. This is the right decision for my family, the institution of the House, and my colleagues."
