Eliminate town governments -- does anyone notice how we are losing democracy step by step!

people are going to need to come to terms with the fact that state employees are going to have to go to a deined benefit system. Also, pensions that were calculated with inflated overtime, etc are going to have to be revisited and corrected. You can tax the rich at 100% and the numbers will not add up to the obligations our politicians have sold us out for over the years. Also, medicaid, housing voutures, etc are going to have to be looked at closely to ensure money is not being wasted by fraud (which everyone knows is fairly rampant).

Jodi Rell was a good governor, even if she was a Republican. What makes the lemmings in Connecticut think that electing a DEMOCRAT (!) is going to decrease the deficit, cut the drunken spending and force the unions to be reasonable. LOL! Gee, it sure worked here in New York, didn't it? Hartford will now raise taxes, send businesses offshore or down south, and navigate Connecticut further down the New York road to ruin.

I'm a fan of Dankosky but take real exception to comment that Dan Malloy was a successful mayor of Stamford. Longtime mayor, yes, but not much else.
