Welcome to Politics Bites, where every afternoon at It's A Free Country we bring you the unmissable quotes from political conversations on WNYC.Newt Gingrich , former Speaker of the House was on the Brian Lehrer Show this morning to talk about the Republican Pledge to America released this week.
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich endorsed Carl Paladino this morning on the Brian Lehrer Show. Gingrich, who led the mid-term Republican revolution in 1994, said Paladino's anti-tax, anti-government message was popular throughout the country this year.
The battle cry of cutting spending, reforming Albany, making it harder to raise taxes are frankly battle cries that are resounding almost everywhere in America.
Asked if he was endorsing the GOP candidate for Governor of New York, Gingrich said, "Of course."
If you want to rebuild jobs in New York state, Carl Paladino is the only choice in the election.

How can anyone in their right mind endorse or vote for a bigoted, sexist, racist like Paladino? Look at the emails he has sent - no decent person acts like this!!
