The 'Girls': Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Lena Dunham, Zosia Mamet.
(Mark Seliger/HBO)
Lena Dunham first caught people's attention with the indy film Tiny Furniture, which she wrote, directed and starred in. Now her new HBO television series, "Girls," is putting her on the map.
"Girls" follows four women in their early 20s who are living in New York City -- Hannah, Marnie, Jessa, Shoshanna -- and Hannah's boyfriend, Adam. The crew hangs out at Brooklyn watering holes like Weather Up and Washington Commons and at city landmarks like the High Line.
Dunham created and stars in the first season of "Girls," which was shot in the city and has its season finale on Sunday. Judd Apatow and Jenni Konner are the other producers on the show.
Help us map out where to find the "Girls" in the city by sending in a spot you've seen in the series. We also want to map out places where episodes are being shot. Just send an email that includes the hang-out and the episode it was in to girlsmapped@wnyc.org.
Plus, join The Guardian, Vanity Fair's Juli Weiner and Brian Moylan of hollywood.com for a live recap of last night's episode of "Girls" on Monday at 12 p.m. EDT.
SPOILER ALERT: Looking at this map will reveal plot twists and turns in the series.
Here's what we've got so far:

The got hitched at the Foundry, in Long Island City, Queens.
Lamely, the show has Hannah getting on the subway at York, as if the location was in Dumbo. But that's just one instance of the show dressing up a Queens location as a supposedly hipper spot in Brooklyn.
Where is the location/venue that Jessa got married at?
18th Avenue stop on the F train is where Hannah momentarily gets off (on her way to Coney) and gets heckled by a group of rooftop partiers.
A map? Who cares? Don't we already know what parts of Manhattan and Brooklyn all the 20 something white people hang out in 2012?
NYC is on of the most diverse cites on the planet... and all they can find to represent "girls" in the City are these 4? seriously?
The Bedford stop on the L is at North 7th not N6th like your map says.
WNYC-
are we morphing into a pop cult zene, perhaps?
it's like creeping "people", people.
Thanks all for the points -- I've added them to the map. Keep them coming!
The scenes where Marni is at work were shot at Lehmann Maupin Gallery's 201 Chrystie Street location.
I'm in Greenpoint. and I'm not gonna tell you.
they were filming today across from city winery on varick st and vandam
And they are filming there again today! I just went to grab lunch and saw the whole trucks and crew
This time the trucks are parked on 6th ave between Prince and Spring, and some other trucks on Van Dam st between 6th and Varick. I think on Van Dam is where the filming is happening
I met Lena Dunham on Spring and 6th! Apparently they film in the Soho area all the time
I don't watch the show but they were filming across the street from my office a on 2 separate occasions. Signs were around the Spring St and 6th Ave area.
proof (sorry it's blurry)

Don't forget the bushwick loft during the crackcident episode.
Go Greenpoint! Marnie & Hannah, two of the 'Girls' live right by fave places like Cafecito Bogotá in Greenpoint. This and other great restaurants and bars (TBD, Anella, Champion etc) have made North Greenpoint so inviting for 'Girls' to settle in NYC.
