After 44 days and the intervention of the Bloomberg administration, waiters, dish washers and bussers at the Central Park Boathouse restaurant have ended their strike.

Restaurant owner Dean Poll has offered around 170 workers the chance to form a union, plus higher wages and healthcare benefits.

The agreement requires approval by the boathouse workers, who are expected to vote 'Yes' Thursday.

For weeks, the Hotel Trades Council had been meeting with representatives from restaurant management at Gracie Mansion.

Poll had resisted the effort to unionize, but Thursday he thanked the Bloomberg administration, and said he looked forward to working with the union.
