From Tuesday through Sunday, more than 1,350 bands, DJs and comedians will perform at over 80 venues in Manhattan, Brooklyn and New Jersey for the annual CMJ Music Marathon and Film Festival.
The festival, organized by the weekly magazine and publishing company College Music Journal, is known for putting emerging artists onstage. But this year's calendar also includes classic acts like En Vogue, Ziggy Marley, J. Mascis, Kermit Ruffins and Jean Grae.
Click on the trippy color-coded map below to see our CMJ music festival picks, which include shows by Dum Dum Girls, Mike Birbiglia, Talib Kweli and Zola Jesus. You can also view the map here.
