The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger makes songs which are ornate, fanciful, tuneful, and unusual. The band is Sean Lennon, son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and his partner in life and music, Charlotte Kemp Muhl. The duo plays multiple instruments and sings in harmony about elegant gardens, dystopian futures, striving scientists, a smarmy impresario, and much more. David Garland hosts Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons on WQXR. He is the host and producer of Movies On The Radio, Saturdays at 9 pm, a show that explores the art of music for film, from classics to indies to blockbusters. Garland presents early music on WQXR, Sundays, 4 pm.
