Americans spent over $45 billion on their pets last year. And according to the American Pet Product Association, that number is estimated to grow to almost $48 billion by the end of 2010.
WNYC took a look around the "No Place Like Home" National Pet Home Decor Showcase where 25 "petrepreneurs" from around the country displayed the latest in high-end doggy and kitty goods. On display were stainless steel water fountains for cats, sheets made especially for people who lie down with dogs and a kit to help you train your fish to fetch.
