FM To The Fore in '47
An Early Brochure Promoting WNYC's FM Band
Thursday, March 27, 2003
It's going to be an FM year.
Never before has there been such interest in technical development of frequency modulation; never has program master-minding so sharply focused on frequency modulation broadcast scheduling.
With the Municipal Broadcast System's FM unit, WNYC-FM now operating on its
new channel, 95.3 megacycles, nightly until 11pm, and with a program structure
independent of WNYC, you may be sure your city station will retain its leading
position in the field of FM broadcasting.
As more FM receiving sets are manufactured and made available to purchasers, more listeners will benefit by the unremitting efforts of our staff to improve programming and transmission over WNYC-FM.
Meanwhile, we're continually trying to ascertain how many of our listeners are fortunate to possess the coveted FM sets. Could you take a minute to drop us a card if you're one of the lucky ones? Your suggestions at this stage of FM development will be worth their weight in microphones to us.
