WNYC's The Next Big Thing with Dean Olsher presents the premiere of a new radio play, "Katie and Frank," by Theresa Rebeck on Sunday, November 10th. The two-character show is the latest in an ongoing series of radio collaborations featuring members of Tribeca's Naked Angels Theater Company. "Katie and Frank" stars actors Jodie Markell and Rob Morrow. It's a play about the importance of listening in maintaining a healthy marriage--especially if your partner is carrying a gun.
"Katie and Frank" includes original music by Ohad Talmor. The sound design was by John Colucci, and the play was produced and directed by Brian Smith.

Rob Morrow is best known for his role on Northern Exposure and currently stars in and directs the Showtime original series, Street Time. Other recent television credits include Showtime's The Thin Blue Lie, the mini-series Only Love and The Day Lincoln Was Shot. Rob will next appear in Shopping, and The Palace Thief.
Jodie Markell first appeared with Naked Angels in Sophie Treadwell's 1929 drama Machinal, for which she received an Obie award. She later served as creative consultant to the director, Stephen Daldry, when the National Theater in London produced Machinal with Fiona Shaw. Her feature film work includes: Woody Allen's Hollywood Ending, and the soon to be released Trapped. Theresa Rebeck is a member of Naked Angels, New York Theatre Workshop's Usual Suspects and HB Playwright's Lab. She is currently consulting producer on Law and Order: Criminal Intent. Other television writing/ producing credits include Brooklyn Bridge, Third Watch, NYPD Blue (WGA, Edgar and Peabody Awards), and HBO's original series, Dream On.
Now in its 17th season, Naked Angels Theater Company is a respected downtown theatre company that is well known for its developmental programs, which already include the cold-reading series "Tuesdays@9" and the "Angels In Progress" workshops. Naked Angels is a collaboration of theater artists united by a desire to strengthen their artistic life through the creation of projects of their own design. With a voice that responds to modern times and experiences, Naked Angels expresses its own particular view of the world through its artistry.
