A New Look
March 16, 2006
Yes, we've given WNYC.org a facelift, the first one in nearly four years. In addition to a new more contemporary look, you'll notice a number of improvements which make the site easier to use.
The navigation bar at the top of all pages now includes drop-down menus for convenient access to key pages. Our search box has been moved to the top of the site. Quicklinks is now a list of the most-requested shows and website features.
But that's not all. In this case beauty is more than skin deep, since the site now employs a standards-compliant XHTML/CSS templating system which improves accessibility, and its back-end implementation has been largely rewritten, which will facilitate future improvements.
Apart from housekeeping we've done as part of this project, the content of the site has not changed. You'll still find all of our current and archive content and audio, in fact some things should be easier to access than before.
Browsers
WNYC.org has been built to work with current versions of all popular web browser software including: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, AOL and Apple Safari. However, we do not support all older versions of these browsers. The site may not work properly in some old browsers, for example Internet Explorer for Macintosh.
