WNYC®, New York Public Radio®, Announces Record-Setting FM Listenership

Arbitron Reports a Listenership of 716,000 and a 1.4 Share for 93.9 FM

(New York, NY January 12, 2004) - WNYC, New York Public Radio, today announced its highest FM audience levels in the station's history. According to the Fall 2003 Arbitron Report, WNYC 93.9 FM now reaches more than 716,000 listeners each week. This figure represents a 24% increase compared to the same period a year ago.

In addition, New York Public Radio's AM station, AM 820, attracted 449,800 listeners each week during the same period.

The fall audience report covered the three-month period between September 18, 2003 and December 10, 2003.
